Our Story

A vision born on the road, led by faith and fueled by community.

Firm Faith Community Church began with a vision and a car ride—a moment in December 1996 that changed everything. Inspired by Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish,” Pastor Milton Edwards felt a clear call from God to build bridges between North America and the Caribbean, empowering churches and revitalizing faith across both regions.

After years of prayer, planning, and partnership, Firm Faith Ministries was founded in Toronto as a not-for-profit, charitable organization dedicated to cross-cultural ministry and spiritual growth. The ministry’s heart for missions soon inspired the birth of Firm Faith Community Church, which held its very first service on June 12, 2005 in Richmond Hill, in the home of of David and Sonali Sinnatamb with a core group of twelve passionate believers.

Since then, our church has grown into a vibrant, biblically functioning community devoted to reaching people, touching hearts, building lives, and transforming communities. Our mission is rooted in authentic relationships, creative partnerships, and a desire to see lives changed for the glory of God—both locally and abroad.

At Firm Faith Community Church, we believe:

In one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally existent and sovereign over all creation.
That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, whose life, death, and resurrection provide salvation for all who believe.
The Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God and our final rule for faith and practice.
Salvation is a gift of grace received by faith in Jesus Christ, resulting in new life and hope for eternity.
The Holy Spirit empowers, equips, and guides believers to live out their faith, serve others, and bear spiritual fruit.
The Church is the body of Christ, called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and mission in the world.
Every believer is called to love God, love people, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
